Spiritual Retreat - Full Moon of Taurus (Wesak)


The Full Moon of Taurus Spiritual Retreat (Wesak) is the highlight of the Kumara Retreat experience. It always takes place during the month of May and is a time when the two Divine Brothers, Lord Buddah, the Lord of the World and The Maitreya, the Planetary Christ come together in spiritual reunion. For Wesak retreat participants it is the ultimate spiritual re-charge which is available once per year. It is a ‘spiritual reunion’ which started eons ago for the Masters and their devotees. Although, our pedigree is not that long, it is a ‘family spiritual reunion’ that started in 2006 for the Kumara Centre. It seems like yesterday when we took the first tentative steps and experienced our first amazing WESAK retreat. The energy behind this retreat has grown in power and intensity each year and we are truly blessed to be able to take part in this most amazing of events.

Wesak is named for the legendary convergence of Buddha, The Christ and other Masters in the hallowed Wesak Valley in the Himalayas during the Buddha full moon occurring in May each year. The convergence is celebrated by many cultures throughout the world, including those devotees that make the annual pilgrimage to the Himalayas.

During Wesak, we go on the retreat to renew our souls and spirits and also to learn from the experience and take that knowledge and wisdom back with us when we have to rejoin the mundane physical plane of existence. It is also a time of personal development as the energy and the teachings help you to grow Physically, Emotionally, Mentally and especially Spiritually.

 

The centre holds regular FREE 'Kumara Retreat' meditation groups throughout the year, preceding any of our 'live-in' retreats, to prepare all participants for the extra energy an advanced meditation retreat can give to the soul.
