Administration Staff

Liz McCaughey

Liz founded the Kumara Meditation & Wellness Centre in 2003 and has since taught hundreds of people how to meditate from basic to advanced levels.  Liz has added mentoring and ego transformation courses to the center’s timetable and, as a qualified psychotherapist, these courses reflect her professional training and the insights she has gained through her private practise.

Liz is the senior Pranic Healing Instructor at the centre and she regularly facilitates pranic healing sessions which are open to the public and she offers regular Free practise sessions for course graduates.  This ensures that what a student has learnt during a course, can be put into practical use. Liz also facilitates the Pranic Healing Therapist Training and Certification Program which is an internationally recognised qualification.

Mary Metcalf

Mary has been teaching meditation for five years and is a qualified Associate Pranic Healer. She is also a qualified theta healing practitioner up to the level of intuitive anatomy and a 2nd degree reiki graduate. Mary has completed studies on the Silva Method life system program and in 2009 completed the journey intensive and advanced skills course with Brandon Bays.

Mary is very passionate about all her teaching and healing work and she particularly values the many benefits that can be achieved through regular meditation practice. Mary believes meditation is the key to self-survival in our modern world and describes meditation as a private retreat which provides the key that unlocks the inner doorways to a deep inner peace.  It brings relaxation to the body, peace to the mind and an awakening of the soul.

Mary believes that through meditation and spiritual practices we have the ability to be our own healers and we can then guide our lives in the direction we want them to go.

Mary donates her time to facilitating the Cancer Helpline meditation at the Centre every Thursday morning.  She also helps with a number of other events at the Centre.  Having been part of Kumara for over 5-years Mary is a valued member of the Kumara group.
